Welcome Back to Cromwell Barn

Dear all new and current members,

We’re sure you have all heard Boris announce more restrictions being lifted on the 12th of April, one being our beloved gym will be opening again as of 9am on Monday 12th April. We are really excited to see you all next week. As most of you know we have some new equipment for you all to have a go at. There will be a video posting in the next few days explaining how to use the equipment but an induction can be given if needed. We will be using the Clublink booking system, so be sure to download the app if you haven’t already. Please book your session before you arrive and If you’re planning to workout for more than your hour slot remember you will need to pre book this as a two block session. Also if you find you can not make your prebooked slot please make sure you cancel so they are available for other members. You will need to use your key fobs when entering the premises in manned and unmanned hours so your attendance is registered. Again please remember if you have booked more than 1 hour slot you will need to register both slots. We will still be providing cloths and spray bottle so please clean equipment down before and after use. No coats/ jackets/ gym bags to be left in the gym. Please leave them in your car or in the changing room. Covid restrictions mean that showers will be staying closed for the time being. We are allowing the changing rooms to remain open for a one in one out policy. Please keep your items in one bag neatly in the changing room area. Manned hours will be from 8:30am-2pm Monday through to Thursday 9am-1pm Friday. Please contact Dana or Paul for booking inductions or programs out of these hours. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

We’ve redefined our cleaning and safety standards and can’t wait to welcome you back to the gym. Your safety, and that of our staff, is a top priority. In line with government guidance, we have implemented a number of measures and are making a number of changes to ensure that Cromwell Barn is a safe place for you to workout. When you come back you’ll notice the gym will look a little different, but you’ll still get everything you need for a great workout.

Here are some of the changes you can expect:

CORONAVIRUS PROTOCOL FORM

Before using the gym, all members will need to complete our Coronavirus Protocol Form, outlining the new procedures members will need to follow when they attend the gym. Once this is completed, your membership will be re-activated and you will be able to use the gym again. You can complete the form by clicking this link: https://forms.gle/mofQs1ekiLnswqKS7 or speak to an instructor on your next visit.

KEEPING A SAFE DISTANCE

We’ve created the space you need to work out while keeping a safe distance by removing the toning tables and a few pieces of cardio equipment. The gym has also been rearranged and clearly marked out for you to use safely, so it is easy for everyone to follow. We’ll also control the numbers in the gym at any given time so it never gets too busy.

EXTENSIVE AND FREQUENT CLEANING

The gym will be deep cleaned daily with high-grade disinfectants that will kill the virus. The team will also clean every piece of kit and surface throughout the day, from dumbbells to treadmills and everything in between, so you can train with confidence.

SELF-CLEANING

We’re supplying more self-cleaning products so you can clean your piece of equipment before and after use, for added peace of mind.

HAND SANITISING DISPENSERS

We request you bring your own sanitising products with you for additional protection, however sanitising dispensers are available around the gym. We ask that you also sanitise your hands before entering the gym to keep yourself and others safe.

CONTACTLESS ENTRY

Contactless entry and registering your attendance with our keyfobs will make your visit safer and easier. Our mobile app can also help you to plan your visit by checking the number of people in the gym to avoid busy times.

NEW GYM ACCESS HOURS

We are still operating as a 24 hour gym, however, we have changed the memberships time zones to give more time flexibility. Gym sessions will now run on an hourly basis. We ask that members stay a maximum of 2 hours in order to keep the number of members in the gym at any time low. Visit lengths will be monitored and if you are staying for longer you may receive a message to remind you of the length of your stay.

RESTRICTING NUMBERS

We are limiting the number of people in the gym at the same time, so members can keep a safe distance from each other. You can check the app to see the maximum capacity of the gym and how many people are currently there. It’s best to plan your visit at a quieter time to avoid busy periods.

BOOKING SYSTEM

All gym sessions must now be pre-booked ONLY,  either through our mobile app, by speaking to an instructor or phoning the gym. This will help avoid gym overcrowding.

CHANGING FACILITIES

We encourage people to change before coming to the gym where possible, to avoid using the changing facilities. The changing rooms are open for use although will be on a one in one out basis., showers are temporarily unavailable for the time being. Please leave your bags and valuables in your car not in the changing rooms.

FACE COVERINGS

The government has confirmed that it is not compulsory to wear a face mask when you visit the gym. If you choose to, please ensure that all PPE is taken away with you.

If you have any further questions please contact us as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Regards,

All the team at Cromwell Barn.
